Course Overview

Tunneling Master Class at Teeth and Implants is an intensive hands-on course focused on modern tunneling techniques for soft tissue augmentation around teeth and implants. The program covers both maxillary and mandibular approaches, with a strong emphasis on connective tissue graft (CTG) biology, surgical precision, and clinical decision-making.

The course combines theoretical lectures and practical training, led by Dr. Ronco, aiming to achieve predictable, long-term aesthetic outcomes.

What You Will Learn

• Preoperative analysis of dental, mucogingival, and muscular anatomy;
• Clinical decision trees and comparative therapeutic options;
• Reconstruction of the cementoenamel junction;
• Connective tissue graft harvesting techniques: palatal grafts and donor site protection; tuberosity grafts;
• Biological properties and indications of CTGs according to their origin;
• Maxilla-specific tunneling techniques;
• Surgical techniques for the maxilla: coronally advanced tunnelized flaps; conventional and “expanded” submerged grafts; micrografts;
• Mandible-specific tunneling techniques, including the META (Muscle Evicted Tunneling Approach)
• Surgical techniques for the mandible: partially exposed grafts; submerged grafts with lateral, apical, or dual closure.
