Synergy in Alveolar Ridge Augmentation for Immediate and Delayed Implantation
About the Event
Basic information about the course
Having adequate volume of bone and soft tissues around the implant is key for the long-term success of the implant treatment. Securing this volume begins with choosing the correct way to augment the alveolus at the time of extraction of the natural tooth.
Depending on the clinical situation, an immediate or delayed implantation may be applied, with the condition of the alveolar walls being of essential importance. Contemporary bone substitute materials in combination with the growth factors contained in PRF enable effective restoration of different types of bone defects and stimulate the natural regenerative potential of the body.
Preservation of the buccal bone plate or its restoration in case of resorption is particularly important. This is a decisive factor for achieving stable and predictable results, especially when implanting in the esthetic zone of the dentition.
During the training, the basic principles of planning implant treatment in cases with bone defects will be reviewed, as well as contemporary approaches for augmentation and management of peri-implant tissues.
Benefits for participants
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Assess the bone defect after extraction.
- Preserve the alveolar socket with intact walls or with involvement of the buccal wall.
- Evaluate when a clinical case is suitable for immediate implant placement and when a delayed approach is more appropriate.
- Apply contemporary techniques for augmentation of peri-implant tissues.
- Work with bone substitute materials and PRF to support regeneration.
- Plan treatment with the aim of achieving more predictable and long-term stable results.
The course provides practical guidance and clinical confidence that can be applied directly in everyday implantology practice.
Who the course is suitable for
This course is intended for:
- Dental practitioners placing implants who want to improve the predictability of results in cases with bone defects.
- Practicing clinicians who wish to refine their skills in preserving the volume of the alveolar ridge after extraction.
- Specialists and young dentists who want to build a solid foundation in contemporary implantology protocols.
